Order

Order: to be orderly and organized

  • Important to me because...having plans, clean spaces, and a sense of direction both short and long-term brings me a lot of peace. Consistently reviewing my obligations and upcoming events manages my stress and helps me feel grounded.

  • Will be in my life through...continued organization of my home, monthly, weekly and daily planning.

Having my life feel organized, tidy and thought out is incredibly powerful. For example, on a Friday evening, my priority is to tidy my home and get my mind anchored in a plan for the coming days. Order allows the rest of my values to exist more effortlessly, so I see it as vital for balance and wholeness.Order allows the rest of my values to exist more effortlessly, so I see it as vital for balance and wholeness.

Five ways to bring Order into your life:

  1. Have a Weekly Checklist: keep a checklist of chores you want to complete weekly, keep it in a spot you’re likely to see each day

  2. Track Habits: use an app to motivate yourself to stay on track with important habits such as skincare routine or doing an evening tidy

  3. Keep an Agenda: whether digital or paper, having an agenda to organize important dates, appointments, events and tasks

  4. Tidy Your Surfaces: Every evening, spend 5-15 minutes simply tidying surfaces and putting things where they belong. Waking up to a tidy space can foster clarity and boost your mood.

  5. Have a clutter basket: get yourself a cute basket that you toss miscellaneous items into so you can sort them later. This is especially helpful for making sure items make their way from your main areas to your bedroom.
